NEWD Treatment Plant Lawsuit

As most of you know the district has been in a lawsuit since the construction was halted and the contractor fired from the treatment plant construction project, almost 8 years ago. The district lost the lawsuit in late 2019 based on a breach on contrat dispute and appealed the loss. A unanimous decision was handed down by appellate court last month upholding the original decision in the lawsuit for a 4.1 - million dollar judgement against the district. The district is currently working with an attorney to navigate the court system after the decision.
